Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇)was the man behind the Great Wall of China. Shi Huang was first ordered to create an army of soldiers to protect China from Mongolian attacks. He ended up training farmers, who had no knowledge of fighting whatsoever. The training was difficult for him to teach, so he began taking the different skills of farming, and creating the basic skills of fighting with weapons. Shi Huang and his small army could only handle so many attacks by the Mongols, so he went to the emperor asking him to recruit more men. Before He knew it, he had a much larger army. It was still no match for the Mongols, so he decided to devise a plan. The Mongols way of fighting was to attack every side of their enemy, find every weak spot, and sneak through them. Shi Huang thought of a wall, that created the border of china. a wall where men could be stationed on top and inside. this wall was going to be the largest project that man has ever created. it was made up of bricks, earth, and different terrain of the areas. the wall created not only protection to each side of china, but true, built in character warriors. Qin Huang and his soldiers worked on it until they where finished not without taking breaks or slacking off. By the time they where finished, they had made cannons which provided extra defense. Their Mongol attackers lost every battle post-wall.
