The plants and animals of China.

I love nature and animals, so I decided to learn more about the wildlife in china. I learned that 10 % of the worlds vertebrate species have China as there home. China has over eighty different rare species. Like the Giant Panda, white flag dolphin, and the Chinese alligator. There are only 1,500 known living Giant pandas which makes them a protected species. China also has a vast plantlife. There is more than 7,000 different species of tree/wood type plants. Some of them are only found in China, like the Fujian Cypress, the dove-tree, and the Taiwan fir. It is also home to one of the oldest/ rarest trees in the world, the metasequoia. In China there is also over 2 thousand species of edible plants and also 3,000 species of medical plants. It is also the home of Ginseng, which i enjoy in green tea. I thought this was interesting because in the article it had so many statistics and facts on the different, rare wildlife that is only found in China. It makes me want to visit China and see all the interesting wildlife that is there.
