老师最近听的音乐-What laoshi's listening to lately

Lately, a goal for me is to find music from different genres, hoping I can find something for each student to appreciate. I love music, and it's one of the major reasons why I kept up with Chinese. It's also a major reason why my American born sister Cyndi learned how to read and write Chinese! (She needed to read to learn the lyrics, to write the lyrics down because her older sisters were too cheap to make a copy of the lyrics for her.)

I've been scanning Taiwan's music industry for "new" music..something a bit different than the typical pop music I've been posting. I'm not sure if this is IT, but this 19 year old South Cal gal has definitely made a big impact in the Chinese music industry. After searching through a few videos on youtube..she actually vPods on a regular basis.

Although her father is a big named music producer in Taiwan, I don't think that's why she's catching attention. She's a bit jazz, a bit blues,...and an amazing voice for being only 19!

For you music lovers out there, something different...
